Viva Glint administrators will be able to create multiple-choice questions with up to 500 options and upload options using a CSV file. For questions containing more than 50 options, survey takers can search and filter the available responses, making longer lists faster and easier to navigate. Reporting will support the expanded option set.
Viva Glint service administrators will see a new announcement icon in the product header that links directly to the Viva Glint Tech Community blog. This makes it easier to discover product news, feature announcements, and best practices.
We're introducing a set of left-navigation improvements in Viva Engage on the web that give people more control over their navigation pane. These are additive, user-driven changes — users can collapse the left nav, resize its width, favorite up to 50 communities, and drag to reorder their favorited communities. None of these changes alter which destinations appear in the navigation. These enhancements are applicable to all surfaces that have the Engage left navigation menu - Web, and the Engage app in Teams and Outlook.
A Copilot-powered conversational assistant embedded in the Viva Glint admin experience that answers configuration and how-to questions and provides step-by-step guidance. Responses will include deep links to configuration pages streamlining navigation and discoverability. Only available for Viva Glint users with Admin permissions.
Engage is rolling out Custom Branding, a new admin-led capability that lets organizations define a customized, tenant-wide visual identity across the Engage web and mobile apps. Engage-level admins can configure a brand name, add large and small logos, and a theme color that is applied consistently for all users in the tenant. Branding is managed from the new Brand Center in the Viva Engage admin center and helps organizations reinforce their identity throughout the Engage experience.
Targeted Audience Surveys let change leaders launch a Copilot Pulse survey directly from the Copilot Dashboard to all licensed or active users. Audiences update automatically using Insights data and respect existing dashboard filters like organization and job function, with privacy protected through population-level reporting only. Pair adoption metrics with employee sentiment in just a few clicks.
Viva Connections multi-home site management is moving from the Microsoft 365 admin center (MAC) to the SharePoint Admin Center (SPAC). Administrators will be able to create and manage multiple Home sites, configure audience targeting, manage home site priority order, and remove Home sites directly from SPAC. Existing entry points in the Microsoft 365 admin center will direct administrators to the new SPAC experience. As part of this update, legacy Viva Connections (VC) instances and draft/enabled management concepts are being deprecated as Viva Connections administration is consolidated into SharePoint Home site management. Existing VC experiences will be upgraded to full Home sites.
Campaigns in SharePoint (site campaigns) is a new capability that brings Viva Amplify’ s campaign management natively into SharePoint. Corporate communications teams now have a unified place to create, distribute, and measure their news without leaving the platform where their news content already lives. This feature applies only to Amplify users as of now. This is a complementary way to create lighter weight campaigns inside a SharePoint site as a way to organize your SharePoint news posts and benefit from campaign analytics directly from SharePoint.
This feature allows SharePoint News authors to distribute posts to an Engage community or storyline while preserving full fidelity rendering and a unified conversation experience. SharePoint News post will appear consistently in Engage across feeds, digests, Outlook, Teams, desktop, web and mobile apps. When distributed, the SharePoint News comments module is replaced with the richer Engage conversation module, ensuring a single, shared discussion thread across surfaces.
Managers in organizations can now access their Agent 365 data through the Agent Dashboard in Copilot Analytics (Insights), enabling them to understand activity across all agents registered through Agent 365. Customers with Agent 365 and Copilot will now see the Agent 365 Dashboard with the ability to view historical data in Agent Dashboard.

They can track spend and make data-driven decisions for AI spend and usage in GitHub Copilot. The dashboard is enabled by default to ensure immediate access.
We are introducing a new feature for leaders and analysts of Viva Insights, where they can view a Power BI report, and edit time range, filters, attributes and change visuals as per their organizations' needs. They can then save the report for viewing later.
Insights into AI spend (Copilot credit usage) at a group or team level will be available in Viva Insights as a dashboard and in Advanced insights. The services in scope of this release are Cowork and Work IQ API. The dashboard experience is available to managers with at least 5 direct reports (scoped access), the Insights analysts, and Global administrators and is enabled by default to ensure immediate access to usage-based cost insights. For users to be able to use Cowork or WorkIQ API, your tenant must have usage-based billing setup via Cost Management in the Microsoft 365 admin center. Leader access to tenant-wide data is out of scope for this release. The same insights will be available for Insights Analysts and Global Administrators in Advanced Insights.
This enables users to export Identifiable row-level Copilot metrics from the Copilot Dashboard for reporting and deeper analysis. This capability can be tuned On by Admins in a tenant.
Unlock deeper insights into Copilot agent adoption with flexible, self-serve analytics. Insights global and partition analysts can access and combine granular agent usage metrics with agent and organizational attributes to uncover agent adoption trends, export and customize reporting, and drive more informed decisions, without relying on predefined dashboards.
Key Microsoft 365 Copilot metrics in custom person queries and reports will have values up to 2-3 days old from the current date. This will provide fresher copilot usage analysis to analysts in Viva Advanced analysis.
When exporting comments to spreadsheet from the Comments report, the topic(s) assigned to each comment will be included in the export.
A day level Copilot adoption Power BI report reflecting the most recent copilot activity & freshest insights.
Managers will be able to export the default sections from the Heat Map report in Viva Glint directly to editable PowerPoint slides. This enhancement allows for easier and quicker consumption of this report outside Viva Glint, compared to the previous export method which included static screenshots.

Viva Glint survey takers will be able to use a streamlined version of Microsoft Copilot in the Glint survey taking experience to help them rewrite their comments, helping survey takers feel more confident about the feedback they’re providing. By increasing perceived security through reducing identifiable writing patterns and minimizing the effort required to refine feedback, this experience can encourage greater participation, longer responses, and more candid comments, which can drive higher engagement and richer insights from surveys.
This feature will introduce the capability for Glint service administrators to configure a data retention policy for their Glint instances based on the organizational policies. Any past survey cycles including engagement surveys, always-on surveys, lifecycle surveys and 360s will be retained/deleted based on this data retention configuration period.
With the new control in Viva Glint, service administrators can now configure whether to retain or delete survey and relevant indefinable user data for users who are manually deleted from Glint or deleted via the signals received via Microsoft Entra. This will ensure that the consistency of previously generate Glint survey reports is retained and user data is handled in accordance with the relevant organizational policies. We will also process the delete signals received via Microsoft Entra and handle the corresponding user data retention or deletion as per our terms of service.
When viewing Engage notifications from the Teams Activity app, users will also see other trending posts in their organization.
Customers can now view and understand their agent landscape through the new Overview page that will be included as part of the Agent Dashboard in Microsoft Viva. This experience will provide customers with key at-a-glance insights on adoption in their organizations and visibility into who’s creating agents used in their organization.
Enable Global and Insights admins to turn on additional attributes as filters in Power BI reports, including reserved attributes and your organization’s custom attributes. Users who have access to Power BI reports can then use these newly enabled filters to tailor reports to their business needs.
Viva Glint admins will be able to manage an exclusion list in Viva Feature Access Management that prevents selected people and groups from being included in Viva Insights data shared with Viva Glint. This simplifies configuration and helps organizations apply consistent, privacy-conscious controls for the integration.

The featured conversation feature in public Viva Engage communities will include the option to feature a conversation to all network members or only to community members.
This enables analysts to publish Viva Insights Power BI reports to anyone in their organization. Today, analysts can publish them only to people with Copilot Dashboard access.
This feature enables Company Admins to customize the default Microsoft Viva Glint confidentiality statement. Admins can choose to turn off the default statement and instead define confidentiality messaging tailored to their specific program settings, such as whether responses are configured to be confidential.
Copilot in Viva Glint now generates AI-powered summaries of employee survey results directly within Team Summary and Executive Summary reports, helping leaders quickly understand strengths, opportunities, and trends across their teams. Copilot Highlights surfaces key insights - such as notable score changes, benchmark comparisons, and response rate confidence - so leaders can move from data to action faster. With general availability, Copilot Highlights expands to support multilingual summaries, enabling global organizations to deliver AI-generated survey insights in their preferred language.
We are bringing a set of new Copilot metrics including actions taken in Microsoft 365 Copilot app, Edge and OneNote, and more key use cases across Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint including suggested reply, translate, coach, clean data and more. Enable change leaders to quickly identify and auto-populate Microsoft 365 Copilot power users and novice users based on organizational attributes and aggregated Copilot usage data. Automatic audience targeting in Viva Pulse will empower change leaders to capture sentiment on Copilot use cases, verbatims, and learnings with insights into whether specific audiences need more training or whether certain pockets of the organization would benefit from receiving upgraded Copilot licenses.
Add new Viva Pulse survey templates for Copilot readiness, adoption, and business value, with built-in entry points and reporting surfaced directly in the Copilot Dashboard. All Copilot templates are fully customizable in Pulse, with the ability to add or edit questions using Copilot authoring and the question library. Organizations can also easily upload pilot group users into Pulse via CSV to target surveys at the right audiences from day one.
This feature enhancement will enable Viva Glint Admins to remove survey participants from closed surveys in bulk.
The updated Copilot adoption Power BI report will come with a streamlined UX and new Power user insights.

This role grants a user just enough permissions to run a Viva Glint survey without full access to platform settings and sensitive data, thus creating a more democratized platform.

Copilot in Viva Glint will align with Microsoft's enterprise AI governance platform: enabling your IT and compliance teams to use centralized governance tools for access management and unified monitoring and reporting across all AI deployments in your tenant. This reduces governance complexity and audit burden by providing a single control plane for managing AI features across Microsoft 365. This change removes the existing Copilot toggles in the Viva Glint admin UI, making Viva Feature Access Management (VFAM) the single control plane for Copilot enablement.
Viva Glint Reporting users like managers and leaders will be able to retrace their navigation flow i.e. drill down and drill up in reports rather than lose their navigation flow within reports. Navigation improvements will replace "Go Back" to Reporting home page with an alternative clickable UX to enable users to go back to the last page of reporting they were in. In other words, this feature will cater to Back navigation improvements in Reporting.
Adding new, more granular permissions for Viva Glint administration. These areas include Advanced Configuration, Nudges, General Settings, and Viva Integrations. We’re excited to announce that Organizational Data in Microsoft 365 is now available in the GCC-Moderate (GCC-M) environment! Organizational Data in Microsoft 365 provides a secure, compliant, and scalable platform for ingesting organizational data into Microsoft 365. With this release, government cloud customers can now leverage the same powerful data ingestion capabilities previously available only in commercial environments.
In the Engage app for Android and Engage app in Teams for iOS and Android, we are introducing the Community Expert. Experts will be able to endorse accurate and credible answers and be recognized as community experts with a special label next to their name. As well, experts & community admins will be able to mark answers to questions as verified answers to signal a credible and accurate answer. Verified answers will receive its own special label.
Community admins will be able to add and remove members from their communities.

Copilot in Viva Glint is expanding its capabilities to support multilingual interactions, allowing users to submit prompts and receive responses in their preferred language. This enhancement improves accessibility and usability for global organizations by enabling Copilot to detect the language of user input, and return responses in the same language.
Theme moderation in Engage will soon offer an option to block message creation if content aligns with a theme. This change expands on the previous release to monitor and mute content based on themes. When a theme is blocked, users will see a message explaining why their message can't be published. Users can edit or discard the message. Admins and corporate communicators can control where blocks happen across storylines and communities. Leaders, corporate communicators, and network/verified/Engage admins cannot be blocked regardless of theme.
Your Viva Engage communities will now be available in Teams along side teams, chats and channels. Engage communities in Microsoft Teams make it simple to connect, share, and learn across your organization. This new experience brings discoverable, asynchronous conversations and leadership engagement into Teams—helping employees explore ideas and perspectives beyond project-based collaboration.

The hide user messages feature is a user-level moderation control. It allows users to see fewer messages from other users, helping to reduce interactions that may be unwanted or inappropriate. Users cannot hide designated leaders, corporate communicators, or network/verified/Engage admins. The hide user feature is default on; admins can turn it off for their network in the Engage admin center.

We’re introducing more flexible and precise targeting capabilities in Viva Engage, starting with Storyline Announcements. This new feature allows leaders and their delegates to define a custom audience at the time of posting, without relying on pre-configured Leader Audiences. Audiences can be built, and saved for reuse, using organizational attributes such as department, job title, or country, existing groups like M365 Groups, distribution lists, or security groups, and even individual users by name. This flexibility enables more relevant communication, helping leaders reach the right people with the right message. Notifications and delivery channels, including Teams and email, will continue to follow existing Storyline Announcement behavior, ensuring a seamless experience for recipients. This feature is designed to help leaders tailor communications to specific departments, locations, or groups, enhancing engagement and relevance across the organization.

This feature enables Viva Glint admins to delete custom user attributes directly in the platform. This empowers admins to easily update and maintain the structure of user data without requiring support.
Engage network admins and corporate communicators can mute conversations to remove a thread from distribution in the home feed and in email digests directly from the Engage app in Teams for iOS & Android.
Viva Glint will refresh its Country & Region external benchmark suites for 2025. These updated benchmarks provide organizations with more accurate and current comparative insights into employee feedback across geographies, enabling better-informed decisions and more relevant action planning.

Microsoft Viva is expanding access to M365 Copilot Chat Insights in Microsoft Copilot Dashboard by enabling tenants with 1-49 M365 Copilot licenses- allowing more tenants, including those with fewer licenses, to track adoption trends. Insights will include usage over time, group level adoption, retention, app-level breakdowns, retention, and more. Users can filter by organizational attributes to uncover usage patterns.
Engage admins and network admins can change access to the move conversation feature with this new toggle. This feature helps customers manage how messages move across communities. When disabled, only admins, corporate communicators, community admins, and community experts can move conversations. When enabled (default), any user with access to a conversation can move it.
A new Power BI report in Viva Insights highlights the relationships and impact of M365 Copilot usage on employee experience sentiment outcomes in Viva Glint. This report enables robust analysis by allowing users to slice and dice data based on Copilot usage segments, different sentiment outcomes and organizational attributes. #copilotcontrolsystem

Introduction of a new report that provides transparency into platform activity by dashboard users. Metrics such as report views, Team Conversations completed, Focus Areas created, and more will be visible and filterable with this report.
Beginning with this feature release, Focus Areas will be associated with survey cycles and goal periods will be retired. Users will be able to select the same Focus Area across multiple cycles. The Focus Area Overview report will be filterable to groups of interest (e.g. managers only). Draft/deleted Focus Areas will no longer be included in Focus Area calculations.
Authors will have new options when starting surveys, including choosing to send without pre-defining an audience, and feedback can instead be gathered by sharing a link that people can access the survey and respond through, sending a survey without a specified end date, allowing for longer-term data collection and multiple responses from recipients over time, and collecting identified responses, where answers are attributed to the person who submitted them.

It plays the 10 audio clips sequentially to help users catch up on top news in a hands-free manner. This experience will be available in the Viva Connections App in Teams mobile on iOS and android.

We’re excited to announce that Viva Engage Role Management APIs in Microsoft Graph are releasing soon. These new APIs enable IT admins to programmatically manage Viva Engage-specific roles, including Corporate Communicator, Network Administrator and Verified Administrator. With these APIs, one can automate role assignments, retrieve role data, and streamline admin workflows across organization. Previously, roles such as Global Administrator, Yammer Administrator, and Knowledge Manager were already supported via Microsoft Graph through Entra. This update expands that capability to include all Viva Engage roles—bringing greater flexibility and control to your admin experience. The APIs are now available in beta version for allowing users to test and share their feedback as we prepare for the general availability.

This release will enhance Amplify reporting by adding click through rate metric. A new card will show the percentage of unique users who clicked on a link from the publication, providing insights into user engagement with the campaign.

Allows Engage event organizers to answer questions from specific attendees without displaying the reply to the other participants. This capability can be helpful for sensitive questions, personal inquiries, or follow-up discussions that are not intended to be broadcast to the entire audience.
Organizers can now disable reactions in Engage events. When this setting is turned off, attendees won’t see or be able to use reactions on questions, discussions or comments. Organizers can manage this option under additional settings in the event creation/edit page.
Admins can now enable/disable all learning-related notifications from a centralized settings page.
Organizers & attendees can now post comments anonymously during Engage events—just like anonymous questions. When enabled by the organizer, these comments are fully anonymous in the UI and compliance systems, helping foster open, honest conversations. We are bringing animated GIFs to email crafted by Viva Amplify. GIFs of limited size will appear as animations in Outlook clients.

Through the new Feature Access management user interface, admins will be able to manage feature access settings directly in Microsoft 365 admin center. Feature access management allows admins to use access policies to manage which users can access specific features in Viva apps, so you can tailor your deployments to meet your local regulatory or business requirements. Previously, these policies could only be managed with Microsoft PowerShell cmdlets. After this rollout, admins can choose to use either Microsoft 365 admin center or PowerShell to manage feature access. Existing policies set for an organization will persist and can be managed in both places.

This feature will allow you to define a group that includes users who should be designated as leaders. As you add or remove people from that group, they will gain or lose privileges accordingly. The manual method will continue to be available.
This feature allows users to subscribe to notifications for Viva Engage topics they follow. Users will receive a Viva Engage bell notification when a new post is tagged with a topic they are subscribed to or when the topic is added to an existing post.
External benchmarks provide Insights analysts with helpful reference points to illustrate what "normal" looks like across other companies with similar size or industry profiles, to help users interpret their company's own Insights results. External benchmarks will be available to analyst users in Advanced Insights as a new page in the Copilot Headlines Power BI report.

Copilot Headlines shows an analyst where interesting things are happening in their data by automatically scanning a query and looking for outliers, changes over time, and differences from dynamic internal benchmarks. Analysts receive the headlines in a Power BI report as a table, along with supporting visualizations to help explore and validate the results.
