With this feature, organizational data source admins receive email notifications when data processing through one of their configured connectors completes successfully or requires attention. Notifications are enabled by default with the option to unsubscribe.
We are introducing enhanced access policy management for Organizational Data in Microsoft 365. This update enables admins to release custom attributes to specific users or groups, rather than broadly to all employees or all managers. This provides a more conservative default approach for managing sensitive organizational data, while also supporting staged rollout of new attributes. Additionally, admins can configure whether leaders and managers are permitted to share non-public data with Workforce Insights delegates. This enhancement improves governance, flexibility, and control over organizational data access.
We are introducing a new dedicated License Requests page in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center to help admins more easily discover, review, and manage Microsoft 365 Copilot license requests submitted by users.
Connect to external AI platforms to discover agents created outside Microsoft and automatically sync them into the Agent 365 registry for more complete agent visibility and governance.
Use a prepaid capacity pack as the sole billing method for supported Copilot experiences. Admins can configure billing policies with prepaid capacity such that usage for users in the policy is deducted exclusively from prepaid capacity credits, with no pay as you go charges.
Customers can submit their custom Copilot agents built in Agent Builder to the Agent Store under the "Built by your org" section, after admin review and approval in M365 Admin Center. This governed flow enables admins to review, approve, and publish submitted agents so that they can be discovered and used by others in the Agent Store. This helps organizations share validated agents at scale while maintaining quality and governance.

This is a new control that tenant admins may use to turn off People Skills User Experiences for the entire organization, user group subsets, or individual users. This control can also be used to selectively deploy People Skills to a small group of pilot users before broader deployment to the rest of the tenant.
A new usage report will be available in the Microsoft 365 admin center for Copilot Connectors in Microsoft 365 Copilot, designed to give organizations a detailed view of how connectors are being used within Microsoft 365 Copilot. This report provides insights into overall connector activity, and connector powered response patterns over time, along with detailed user-level connectors adoption data. Action Segments empowers IT Admins to target Organizational Messages using dynamic, pre-defined usage segments. This behavior-based targeting approach goes beyond existing static group definitions, ensuring messages reach the most relevant users.
Organizational Messages now includes Email as a delivery channel, expanding beyond existing surfaces such as the Windows Taskbar, Windows Notifications, Windows Spotlight, and Teams Popovers.
Organizational Data in Microsoft 365 now allows administrators to upload historical HR data manually via CSV files. A new toggle in the upload experience lets admins specify whether the data is current or historical. For historical uploads, admins can assign an effective date to the file, ensuring accurate ingestion and processing by downstream apps like Viva Insights. This update improves data consistency across M365 and Viva apps and supports retroactive updates for organizational reporting.
Specify and manage SharePoint sites deemed as authoritative content to enhance their relevance and ranking in Microsoft 365 Copilot Search. In the Microsoft 365 admin center, under Copilot > Search > Authoritative content, add and manage up to 100 SharePoint sites. #copilotcontrolsystem

This feature enables visibility into agent configuration changes—such as publishing, blocking, updating, or removing agents. Integrated with Purview’s audit search and reporting tools, it helps organizations meet regulatory standards and maintain oversight of agent management.
To help organizations manage metered consumption costs for SharePoint Agents and Copilot Tuning, we are introducing support for Capacity Packs in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center (MAC). This feature allows global administrators to use prepaid message subscriptions before incurring pay-as-you-go (PAYG) charges. Each Capacity Pack provides 25,000 Copilot messages per month, which can be allocated to Copilot Chat environments via the Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC). Once enabled, MAC will prioritize consumption from these prepaid packs and automatically switch to PAYG when the pack is exhausted. Admins can monitor usage in PPAC, including: • Total messages consumed • Remaining prepaid capacity • Message allocation per environment Key Benefits: • Streamlined billing setup in MAC • Reduced risk of overage charges • Automated environment provisioning for Copilot Chat • Improved cost visibility and governance
Agent metadata export in Microsoft 365 admin center includes expanded metadata fields, covering Capabilities, Data Sources, Actions, Created In, and Created By. Enables enhanced visibility for auditing, governance, and lifecycle tracking. #copilotcontrolsystem
Admins can reassign ownership of shared agents created within the organization through tools such as Copilot Studio or the Microsoft 365 Agents Toolkit. Once reassigned, the new owner will gain full edit and delete permissions, along with access to any files uploaded by the previous owner. The former owner will lose all access, including read rights. #copilotcontrolsystem
The new Unified Permissions Management feature gives admins a consistent view of all required applications and delegated permissions, along with their associated risk levels, enabling clearer understanding of consents. From the permissions tab, admins can now provide consent directly, and once granted by the Global Admin, the AI Admin Role can deploy agents. #copilotcontrolsystem

This feature release ‘Always-on diagnostics’, captures critical diagnostic data from onboarded endpoint devices running on macOS for EDLP issue reporting. Comprehensive trace logs will be automatically recorded and stored locally on onboarded Mac devices, eliminating the need to reproduce issues when submitting investigation requests to Microsoft. It allows for the collection of detailed traces over extended periods (up to 90 days). While raising tickets to submit investigation requests to Microsoft regarding Microsoft Endpoint DLP, customers can share enhanced diagnostic information with Microsoft without needing to reproduce the exact scenario.
We’re adding support for property deletion in custom Copilot connectors, giving admins and developers more control over schema evolution. With this feature, you can: * Use Copilot connector APIs to delete or drop individual schema properties that are no longer needed. * Keep your connector schema clean and up-to-date without requiring full re-ingestion. * Reduce developer overhead and simplify maintenance workflows as your data models evolve.
The Copilot Chat usage report will include metrics on prompts submitted and expanded coverage across new host applications. Admins will now see total and average prompt counts at both tenant and user levels, along with user activity insights such as active days and last activity dates. Additionally, the report introduces visibility into Copilot Chat usage within Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote—enabling better tracking of adoption and engagement across these core Microsoft 365 apps. All metrics focus on unlicensed users and support export functionality for further analysis. User-level information is anonymized by default. #copilotcontrolsystem
This feature allows Global and Intune administrators to pin the M365 Copilot app to the Windows taskbar, providing users with easy access to M365 Copilot capabilities like Chat, Search, Agents, Notebooks and Create. This setting applies to all Intune-managed Windows 10 and 11 devices with the app installed. #copilotcontrolsystem
A new agents usage report will be available in the Microsoft 365 admin center. The report will be scoped to include agents in M365 Copilot and Copilot Chat with usage by both M365 Copilot licensed and unlicensed users. The report will include total active agent users, total active agents, active users segmentation by licensed and unlicensed users, and active users and active agents segmentation by publisher type (i.e. user-created agents, agents built by your org, agents built by Microsoft, agents built by Microsoft partners). The report will also include usage details per user, agent, and user-agent pair. #copilotcontrolsystem

Admins can set up budget limits for Copilot Pay-as-you-go by defining billing policies scoped to departments or groups. These policies can be assigned to specific Copilot services, such as M365 Copilot Chat or SharePoint-based agents, and configured with budget thresholds and alerting rules. This feature introduces admin controls for managing AI agents on a consumption basis within Microsoft 365 Copilot. Administrators can specify which users can access particular agents through pay-as-you-go, control which agents are available for metered consumption, and establish billing policy for each agent. Initially focusing on declarative agents in M365 Copilot Chat and SharePoint, this enhancement enables organizations to effectively manage AI consumption costs and scale intelligent capabilities according to business needs. #copilotcontrolsystem

For Admins, agents in the Frontier program can be managed through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. They are listed under the agents & connectors tab in Copilot Control System, where you can view all agent inventory for your organization. Agents built by Microsoft and available in the Frontier program will be displayed in the Agent Store. This feature will support users to request these agents if blocked by organizational policies. Admins will have the opportunity to further approve and reject these user request. #copilotcontrolsystem
SharePoint agents' usage statistics would be aggregated across all SharePoint sites and available for the tenant admin persona.
