Microsoft Entra: Improved Backup and Restore Experience for the Authenticator App on iOS
From Microsoft's description: “When setting up a new iOS device, account names will automatically appear in the app, and users can sign in to complete setup.”
Users of the Microsoft Authenticator app on iOS will be able to back up account names—including Microsoft work or school accounts, Microsoft personal accounts, and third-party accounts like Amazon or Google—using iCloud and iCloud Keychain. This enables secure, end-to-end encrypted backup of account names and TOTP credentials. When setting up a new iOS device, account names will automatically appear in the app, and users can sign in to complete setup.
